The FLYP Side

This month, we're focusing on our youngest patrons! Early literacy begins long before a child can talk, and libraries play a powerful role in supporting families during these critical early years. Positive and supportive library experiences can help caregivers set a trajectory for a lifetime of reading. Our guest speaker, Melissa Welden from Royal Palm Beach Branch Library, Palm Beach County Library System, will kick off the discussion by sharing her library's baby storytime model. Bring your ideas, questions, and experiences as we learn from each other and celebrate the joyful, essential work of serving infants and their grownups.

Join your fellow Youth Services staff from across the state to celebrate successes, share programming ideas and brainstorm solutions to challenges. These sessions are general discussions, so bring your thoughts, questions and ideas.

If you can’t join us live, don’t worry—simply complete the registration form, and you will receive a summary with links to the resources shared during the session in a follow-up email. I can’t wait to see you there!

FLYP Summer Statistics Refresher

The statistics collected by FLYP for Summer Reading are invaluable for sharing your library's successes and informing the ways that we support libraries across Florida. We appreciate the time it takes to collect and report your statistics!

Summer statistics are submitted at the end of your Summer Reading Program.

If this is your first time reporting your library's Summer statistics or if you just want a quick reminder of how things work, join the FLYP Summer Statistics Refresher.
